A decade later, she left the family business to venture out on her, purchased a fledged retail clothing store. Within just two years she had turned around the losing business 10x over to a multi-million dollar business with numerous locations.

Due to the fast business growth and quick turnaround of her retail business, she was recognized by the National Chamber of Commerce with the prestigious Blue Chip Enterprise Award for overcoming business obstacles and achieving fast business growth. 

After selling her multi-million dollar retail businesses, Debbie became a full time professional speaker and business consultant focusing on marketing, sales and business growth. Since beginning her speaking career, she has presented on over 500 stages in 28 countries, hosted her own live events for over 15 years (consistently making multiple six figures in a weekend) and authored 11 best-selling books.
